ELBENITA KAJTAZI MAKES SENSATIONAL DEBUT AT THE WIENER STAATSOPER!
Soprano Elbenita Kajtazi made her hotly anticipated debut at the Wiener Staatsoper as Mimi in the classic Franco Zeffirelli production of La boheme - marking 100 years since Puccini’s death. The Staatsoper was sold out, the critics were delighted and Placido Domingo greeted her backstage to congratulate her on this important moment in her dazzling operatic career!
ELBENITA COMMENTS:
“The Vienna Opera is the dream of every lyric artist, and of course it is an achievement that seals the many years of work I have devoted to my profession!
It is an old production and it is always a pleasure to come out and perform in such productions that are very detailed and sensitive. This production of ‘La Bohème’ directed by Zeffirelli perfectly describes the love of Mimì and Rodolfo and the lives of four young students who live in not very good conditions in Paris. It is of course a pleasure to be part of this production...
I wish that my appearance on this stage as the first Albanian from Kosovo will open the way for many other artists who work with a lot of dedication in realizing their dreams.”
